If you’re removing a Sperry Software add-in, you can use our Uninstall Add-Ins tool. If you can, try one of the other methods listed above. Still having trouble? To help you uninstall versions of Office that use Windows Installer (MSI) as the installation technology, you can use the Office Deployment Tool and specify the RemoveMSI element in your configuration.xml file. Note that not all add-ins support uninstalling both ways, but almost all add-ins support at least one of these two ways. We recommend that you uninstall any previous versions of Office before installing Microsoft 365 Apps. Using Windows Explorer, navigate to the setup EXE that was originally used to install. 
How to uninstall add-ins from Outlook using an add-in’s setup program: This next method requires that you have the original setup executable. The above method works on Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10, and is Sperry Software’s preferred way.
Highlight your selection and select Remove. Look for the manufacturer’s name in the list (all our products are listed under “Sperry Software – name of add-in”). Go to Start…Control Panel…Programs and Features…Uninstall a Program. This indicates that the /UNINSTALL switch no longer functions and that /CONFIGURE is what must now be used to remove apps. Assuming that the installation program is well written, there is no difference between the two methods. Note that we are talking about traditional installed desktop add-ins (the kind where you have to download a setup program), not the “modern” style Office 365 add-ins. NOTE If the file doesn’t open, click Save > Open Folder, then double-click the file (it should start with "O15CTRRemove") to run the Fix it tool.To keep a clean system, or sometimes to install new versions of add-ins, it is sometimes necessary to uninstall any unneeded Outlook add-ins. If uninstalling using Control Panel doesn't work, use the Fix it tool instead.Īt the bottom of your screen, click Open.

NOTE If you bought a suite like Microsoft Office 365 Home or Microsoft Office Home and Student 2013, search for the suite name.
